9月16日、嬉しいサプライズが用意されている： 南アフリカを代表するアーティスト、CISCO DE SOLが登場するのだ。CISCO DE SOLは、独学で学んだ南アフリカ出身の有名なDJであり、音楽プロデューサーである。13歳で音楽の道を歩み始めて以来、iTunesやSpotifyといった世界的なプラットフォームでシングルをリリースし、「Screamin Music」や「Soul Candi Records」といったトップレーベルとコラボレートしてきた。ヨーロッパのコンピレーションへの参加や2016年のDJツアーも成功させ、シスコはブラック・コーヒーを含む南アフリカの音楽界の巨人たちとステージを共にしてきた。2022年にリリースしたトラック “OVIJANTEEP “は国際的な評価を得た。ステージでのシスコは、その衝撃的なエネルギー、ユニークなエフェクト、そしてオーディエンスとの深いつながりで知られている。彼の情熱、謙虚さ、野心は、音楽界での継続的な成功につながる。
今夜もDJ AGEISHIをBABALÚのステージにお迎えし、忘れられないセットをお届けします。1973年、DJ AGEISHIは初めて東京のMUGENのデッキに立ちました。それから10年間、彼は赤坂BYBLOSの中心的存在として、多彩な曲で夜を盛り上げた。1987年にはJAVA JIVEで、世界の音楽ジャンルを融合させた彼のシグネチャースタイルが誕生した。その2年後、彼は渋谷の有名クラブ、CAVEのレジデントDJになった。90年代を通じてクラブDJとして名を馳せ、大阪に拠点を移し、PEACE CAFEでミックスをキュレート。2001年からは京都のWORLDでレギュラーパーティーをスタート。業界34年目を迎えた2007年には、大阪で伝説の34時間セットを披露。2011年のアッキンとのコラボレーション「Rain Parade」などでその才能を発揮。DJ活動50周年を迎えた今、DJ Ageishiは伝説のDJとして語り継がれている。
また、日本のみならず世界のアフロ・ハウス・ミュージック・シーンの重鎮として知られるMAX PELAのアフロ・ルーツ・リズムへのコミットメントは明白である。DJとしての役割にとどまらず、BABALÚのイベントのキュレーション、ラジオポッドキャストの司会、尊敬するプロダクション会社AFROBETA BODEGAを通したライブイベントの企画なども行っている。世界中の聴衆を魅了するサウンドを持つ彼をホストできることを光栄に思う。MAX PELAと並んで、DMITRI ABSINTHEを迎えます。DMITRI ABSINTHEは、日本に上陸して以来、日本のナイトライフの要として活躍してきました。ドミトリーはジャズからテクノまで幅広い音楽性を持つ。彼のDJ人生は20年前にテルアビブで始まり、その後日本に移り住み、その比類なきスキルで観衆を魅了した。
そしてSONNY VERCETTIによるオープニングセット。ソニーは2012年にドイツのフランクフルトで音楽の旅を始め、様々なイベントでミニマル・テクノとダブステップを独自にブレンドしたサウンドでオーディエンスを魅了した。2019年、彼は日本に移り住み、大阪のハウスとテクノのシーンに没頭する。メロウ・ハウスの静謐なリズムから、グルーヴィーなテクノの脈打つビートまで、彼のサウンド・パレットは幅広いスペクトルに及ぶ。2022年からは、Dimensionというグループとコラボレートし、ライブ・テクノ・パフォーマンスを行うなど、レパートリーをさらに広げている。

On September 16th, we have a delightful surprise in store: CISCO DE SOL, one of South Africa’s premier artists, will grace us with his presence. CISCO DE SOL is a renowned self-taught South African DJ and music producer. He began his musical journey at 13 and has since released singles on global platforms like iTunes and Spotify, collaborating with top labels like “Screamin Music” and “Soul Candi Records”. With features in European compilations and a successful DJ tour in 2016, Cisco has shared the stage with South African music giants, including Black Coffee. His track “OVIJANTEEP”, released in 2022, has gained international acclaim. On stage, Cisco is known for his electrifying energy, unique effects, and deep connection with audiences. His passion, humility, and ambition position him for continued success in the music world.
Tonight, we have the immense pleasure of welcoming back DJ AGEISHI to the BABALÚ stage for another unforgettable set. In 1973, DJ Ageishi first took to the decks at MUGEN in Tokyo. For a decade, he was the heart of Akasaka BYBLOS, setting nights alive with diverse tunes. By 1987, his signature style was born at JAVA JIVE, blending global music genres. Two years later, he became a resident DJ at the famed Shibuya club, CAVE. Throughout the ’90s, he became a celebrated club DJ, moving to Osaka and curating mixes at PEACE CAFE. His influential regular parties began in 2001 at WORLD (Kyoto). By 2007, marking 34 years in the industry, he delivered a legendary 34-hour set in Osaka. Collaborations like the 2011 “Rain Parade” with Ackin’ showcased his talent. Now, celebrating 50 years in the industry, DJ Ageishi stands as a DJing legend.
Also, renowned as a stalwart in the Afro House music scene both in Japan and globally, MAX PELA’s commitment to Afro-Rooted Rhythms is evident. Beyond his role as a DJ, he curates events for BABALÚ, hosts radio podcasts, and orchestrates live events via his respected production company, AFROBETA BODEGA. With a sound that has enthralled audiences worldwide, we’re honored to host him. Alongside MAX PELA, we have DMITRI ABSINTHE, a cornerstone of Japan’s nightlife since he set foot there. Dmitri’s musical versatility spans from Jazz to Techno. His DJ’ing odyssey commenced two decades ago in Tel Aviv before he moved to Japan, captivating crowds with his unmatched skills.
And opening set by SONNY VERCETTI. Sonny launched his musical journey in Frankfurt, Germany in 2012, captivating audiences with his unique blends of minimal-techno and dubstep at various events. In 2019, he transitioned to Japan, immersing himself in the Osaka House and Techno scene. His sonic palette spans a broad spectrum, from the serene rhythms of mellow house to the pulsating beats of groovy techno. Since 2022, Sonny has further expanded his repertoire, collaborating with the group Dimension for live-techno performances.
